“It doesn’t take a genius”. For those of you who haven’t come across Samsung’s new advertisement against Apple’s new iPhone 5, the main gist of Samsung’s slogan highlights the Galaxy S3’s user-friendliness. Samsung’s latest smartphone installment is a versatile device that is capable of performing numerous functions, to say the least.
To start off, I would like to touch on the physical structure of the phone itself. With a 4.8-inch AMOLED display, the phone boasts a very rich screen quality from the very own manufacture who designed the LED Flat Screen televisions. I’ve come across many people who state the large screen size the most prominent issue they have against the Galaxy S3. Compared to the 4-inch iPhone 5 display, the S3 provides the user with more space to interact with the extremely user friendly interface. For example, viewing YouTube videos can provide the user with a pleasing experience, as the enlarged screen demonstrates the comfortable aspect of viewing media.
Regarding the weight of the device, I can say that the user is in for a surprise. At first glance, one considers the factor of a “large” screen and might correlate it with a proportional weight, but astonishingly the phone feels as it should be a feather. Some may oppose that comparison by arguing on the grounds that it is a hyperbolic statement, but I give credit to the iPhone 5 as well for focusing on the weight aspect. When it comes to weight I, personally, believe that Samsung should receive more credit as it provides the S3’s users with a comfortable screen size, without compromising on the weight of the phone. The Galaxy S3’s camera capability is on par with the iPhone 5’s as both smartphones utilize a 8-megapixel camera backside camera.
Moving on to the most significant aspect of the Galaxy S3: the phone’s features. This device is capable of doing a plethora of neat tricks, and Samsung has repeatedly advertised the S Beam feature. The S Beam is easily one of the most amazing features, as it allows S3 users to transfer music, movies, photos to another S3 device, by simply placing the two phones back to back and tapping on the screen. Personally, I admire the S Beam feature the most as it shows to the users the amount of innovation and engineering that went behind in making such easy to use, brilliant features of the phone.
