CAMARILLO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Battery-Biz® Inc., the leading U.S.-based manufacturer and distributor of consumer electronic power accessories, today named veteran technology product marketer and product manager Raj Mitra as Vice President of Product Management at Battery-Biz and its newly formed subsidiary, BuQu Tech.

Mitra will oversee the product roadmap and product development as well as expansion of the Magnetyze™ by BuQu Tech magnetic charging system (www.BuQuTech.com/Magnetyze) product line, the new way for iPhone and Android users to connect, protect and attach. Magnetyze accessories are now available for the Apple iPhone 4 and 4S. Apple iPhone 5 accessories are in development. In Q4, BuQu Tech will introduce its first Magnetyze smartphone cases and charging accessories for Android™ with products for the Samsung Galaxy S3.

Mitra has more than two decades of product marketing and product management experience in consumer electronics, personal computers and workstations, enterprise software and microprocessors. Most recently, Mitra directed global go-to-market product strategy and market research for Linksys wireless home networking products at Cisco Systems, Inc. Previously, he held leadership roles and successfully grew both product lines and businesses in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America on behalf of Hewlett-Packard Company, Thales/Magellan Navigation, Inc., and Intel Corporation. He received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, India, and earned an MBA degree in marketing and finance from the New York University Stern School of Business.
