iPhone Tip: Create HTML Email Signature with iPhone Signature creator app

Are you bored of the default “sent from my iPhone” email signature? Want to replace it with something cool rather than a line of text? then you should checkout the iPhone Signature Creator by cool Geex.

If you want to use the HTML signature again, all you need to do is tap the new Home screen icon.

Please remember to also remove the text from the default signature (Settings –> Mail, Contacts, Calendar –> Signature).

You can use this trick to create HTML signatures for your iPad or iPod Touch.

Moto’s Speed Demon

The future of wireless technology, like the future of everything, I suppose, comes with trade-offs.

For the past week or so, I’ve been testing a new phone from Motorola Mobility (ticker: MMI), called the Photon 4G. The 4G refers to the faster Wi-Max network run by Sprint-Nextel (S).

The speed is breathtaking. Web pages seem to load before I even realized that I wanted to view them.

The alacrity of this device surpassed that of any other phone I’ve tried and made me bitterly resentful when returning to my Apple (AAPL) iPhone 4, running on AT&T’s (T) conventional 3G cellular network.

The downside? The battery life was down by about a third just an hour after I’d removed the Photon from its charger. in one instance, the cause was a nearly hour-long phone call. in another, I was simply surfing from Web page to Web page, gleefully heedless of the strain that the faster speed was putting on my battery.

Happily, one can dial down to a slower 3G connection to save battery life, and that connection is still quite snappy. But if you can stand the drain on battery life, the Photon is one of the better devices using Google’s (GOOG) Android software.

Will the Photon revive Motorola’s fortunes in the smartphone market? there will be a blizzard of rivals in coming months, including the hot-selling Galaxy S II from Samsung Electronics (005930.Korea) and, of course, a new Apple iPhone, rumored to be arriving in September or October.

Stiff competition, indeed.

But the Photon is stylish, good-looking and can take full advantage of lots of Android apps. It’s an excellent choice for those who aren’t on the AT&T or Verizon Wireless networks, or who simply prefer Android to Apple’s software.

It should keep Motorola a contender in the smartphone wars.

Travel apps open a whole new world for vacationers and business travelers alike. however, there are now so many travel apps that it’s hard to determine which will render the best and most frequently updated information.

Muddying the issue further, app stores tend to list flight and hotel apps first and leave the fun and wonky and offbeat apps buried somewhere underneath. To liberate you from that app rut, here are some suggestions and “did ya knows” to make your next trip truly memorable.

Best Apps for Traveling Abroad

Momondos is a free iPhone app that sorts through more than 1,000 websites to find the best travel deals on everything from flights to high-speed rail.

Results for U.S. domestic flights are a bit sketchy, but it’s great for making travel arrangements elsewhere in the world. this is a very lean, deep-search app with no trip itinerary functionality. Here you find more than tourist traps — little known area secrets, local favorite sites, and travel tips are featured. Download the city or country guide you want, and then use it online or off. Did you know that this app will guide you back to your hotel, group or to a new destination? No worries then, if you can’t read the street signs or speak the local language.

The Rail Europe app is a digital itinerary, rail guide and alert system rolled into one. the free app allows travelers to choose the route, select a seat, and book tickets directly from their iPhone or iPod touch. the app uses geo-location technology to provide side-trip suggestions available by rail, calculating the time and distance to identify realistic rail journeys that will add to the overall vacation experience.

Rail Europe represents more than 35 railroads that travel in most European countries, thus offering a wide range of passes and point-to-point rail tickets. One man to wait for the iPhone 5 for one month on the street

When it comes to drastic, some people are there when it comes to getting the newest Apple iPhone. consider Rob Shoesmith, a man from the United Kingdom. he is waiting for the iPhone 5 to arrive and has dedicated a month of his life to the task.

Rob Shoesmith is tweeting and blogging his way to success in what what he calls “the iPhone 5 Experiment”. he says he is impassioned about marketing and public relations. When it comes to public relations, he is going to have plenty, since a public place, a sidewalk, will be his home for a month. he is having a good measure of success, since he already has had a lead story on the Tech Crunch site. one of the ways he did it was to make a commitment on his blog that he would not spend money on anything he takes with him on his month long wait. he asked for people to donate what he uses and he will be giving reviews on the products.

It may be a brilliant move on the part of Shoesmith, but time will tell. His city of choice, London, is currently under a severe outbreak of rioting. nevertheless, he is tweeting away, seemingly unperturbed by the burning of buses and buildings in his city. His bravery ( or apathy ) has turned out to be rather lucrative. Companies are sending him stuff daily. he even gets the use of a free vehicle during his “camping” experience. Some of the items he gets range from shampoo, to solar powered iPhone chargers, to large boxes of candy, to “garden gnomes”.

The lack of a bathroom and shower have Shoesmith feeling “grim”, he says. the tent plus camping in the woods would be a bit more agreeable with the basic needs of the body, but this man has a point to make. he actually works at marketing for a company called “Medl Mobile”. His sudden urge to camp out in front of an Apple store to wait for the iPhone 5 is therefore suspect. His company makes iPhone apps, and as Paul Harvey would say; “now you know the rest of the story.”. the Medl Company describes themseves as incubators, developers, accumulators and marketers of mobile technology. many people believe Shoesmith is not so much out to be the first person to buy an iPhone 5, but instead a true marketer looking to make a “splash”.

If the iPhone 5 happens to not be released in the next month, Rob Shoesmith will be the recipient of hundreds of dollars of free stuff to take back to his flat. Either way, he ends up being the winner.
