P-Rod's and TSO Skate's new iPhone app collaboration features visual trick tutorials from three different camera angles with video that may be manipulated to either slow down or speed up the action depending on the viewer's preference. Other iPhone app features include written trick tutorials to correspond with the video tutorials, as well as App Store access. The initial cost of P-Rod's iPhone app is $4.99 but skaters will be able to purchase additional app components as time goes on. The supplementary app components projected for future release include skate videos and bonus sets of trick tutorials by both P-Rod and others.
About P-Rod
P-Rod, as many skate fans know, is a member of the Nike Skate Team. He has competed in both street and park events and is currently involved with Rob Dyrek's Street League where he is presently ranked 7th with 206 points overall. P-Rod is considered a strong skater by most action sports pundits and has a growing legion of fans.
About TSO Studios
For those that are unfamiliar with TSO Studios and its division TSO Skate, it is a company that is affiliated with long-time ESPN host and skateboarder Sal Masekela. The company focuses its efforts on creating an array of instructional videos by action sports pros for action sports amateurs. at the moment, P-Rod is the only member of the company's skate team, but more pro skaters are expected to be added to the team in the future.
