Luxury car brand Maserati has launched its first official mobile app for iPhone and iPad users, bringing users deeper into the company’s world – even if they can’t afford one of its vehicles.
Dubbed Maserati Passion, the app provides a showcase of all Maserati products and services complete with images, audio recordings of the company’s unique V8 engine note, and technical rundowns on all the company’s vehicles. For those who would like to see what a Maserati of their own would look like, the app includes a mini-configurator which allows the creation of a virtual tailor-made vehicle – with the resultant car then able to be exported and saved as the device’s background wallpaper.
Social networking functionality is also included in the app, with Maserati fans being kept up-to-date on the latest Maserati news and opinions including event details and breaking news on new products in the company’s high-priced ranges.
Finally, for those who have splashed out on a Maserati or who think they could be tempted, the app includes a Dealer Locator and assistance section. when activated, this locates the user and finds the nearest official Maserati dealer – complete with directions and a freephone number for contact – while the iPad version goes a step further and also includes access to the Maserati Store for on-line purchasing of official merchandise and accessories.
The app is available to download for free now on the iTunes App Store.
