An update on the iPhone 5 release date rumors and news says the 2012 iOS 6 Apple handset will be a hit! As Apple enthusiasts are wondering when exactly the new iPhone will be making an appearance, hackers are already fast at work to Jailbreak iOS 6.
A recent article says is the Internet rumors are true, then Apple lovers will want to upgrade to the new handset from earlier models once the gadget hits the scene. Calling 2012 the “year of the iPhone,” even without confirmation from Apple that a 6th generation handset is in the works. Leaked reports have stated companies have received orders to begin manufacturing parts for the device, so the if those leaks are the real deal, then the iPhone 5 release date is likely not far off.
If the next Apple smartphone is 4G LTE, which is expected, the device will “likely inspire a strong surge of upgrades” in Q4 of this year. This is not only great news for consumers and manufacturers, as wireless carriers will gain a lot of benefits from the launch of Apples next mobile handset as well. An upgrade will mean new or extended contracts, as well as changes in monthly plans, which will surely be more costly for most major US carriers.
Verizon Wireless already announced plans to change their data plan for consumers who plan to upgrade to 4G devices. Their new plan will cost more money, and will even force customers who are grandfathered-in on unlimited data plans to change if they want a 4G handset.
It seems the new VZW data plan changes have hinted that the iPhone 5 release date is near. Why else would the wireless carrier announce such a change ahead of the 2012 WWDC, just as significant rumors about the handset hit the scene?
Do you think the next Apple smartphone will be as popular as analysts expect?
