So, everyone knows (or if you don’t you will now) that before Apple releases a new product, such as the stellar, awaited iPhone 4, Steve Jobs gives a keynote on the product and shows off all of it’s bells and whistles.
I found this recent keynote to be particularly entertaining, as I have an iPhone and have been growing in frustration with, not the phone, but the network it’s on…yes, AT&T I’m talking about you. During the keynote while Steve Jobs was attempting to show a demo the WiFi failed…embarrassing yes, but even more embarrassing is when Jobs tries to get everyone to disconnect from their WiFi connection. Everyone laughs it off as he grows in frustration, telling them they won’t get to see the video if they don’t start disconnecting from WiFi. Some blame the WiFi (Jobs), while others say maybe it was too soon for Apple to release the new shiny gadget. (gadgetcrave)
Okay, lets be fair here, think about how many people you know who have an iPhone, and who are constantly texting, checking emails, updating their facebook status with vital breaking news (OMG, I just bought the cutest top ever!), twittering, playing games, etc., etc…AT&T is expected to keep up with the madness and it’s becoming very apparent, and probably actually has been for a while, that they can’t handle it; time to share with other networks maybe? I am no expert, nor will I try to be, nor will I sit here and read off facts about the 4, all I know is I wantsending” for half an hour, only to fail, because how will my friends ever know how cute my blouse is then, ugh!
Apple is a fast-paced, set the bar high, make ’em sweat kind of company, AT&T knew that when they signed up to take on the iPhone, so it’s only fair to keep up.
